MONTREAL, Canada—Company vice president Jacques Dussault and his wife, Isabelle Sansoucy, enjoyed Shen Yun Performing Arts at Théâtre Maisonneuve at Place des Arts on Sunday afternoon, April 21.
“It was wonderful. It was ethereal. The dancers, the choreography, the music—it was very, very beautiful. The dancing was magnificent,” Ms. Sansoucy said.
“The artists communicated via their bodies all the emotions that the show needed. The synchronization, the jumps, and the expression on the dancers’ faces were truly extraordinary. It’s perfection.”
In addition, the company is committed to raising global awareness of the ongoing human rights issues in contemporary China under communist rule.
For Mr. Dussault, not only was “the messages being delivered just perfect,” but “it gave us the history of China from the very beginning right to the [present day].”
“You can see the evolution of Chinese culture,” he said.
“[In one of the pieces,] you see the broken bond between the parents and child—you feel their pain and share the emotions. Yet, there was also the hope of finding something great and beautiful again,” Mr. Dussault expressed.
“The show was emotion-filled from the beginning to the end. The stories were dreamy, the music was wonderful, and the choreography was superb. I would have loved another hour of the show—I would have stayed for that. It was beautiful.”
“[Shen Yun] makes us dream,” he said. “We were on the edge of our seats from start to finish. They kept us wondering what was going to happen next. It’s so beautiful, bravo.”
