Lululemon has released its line of Team Canada clothing for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
“We took an innovation-first approach to design a collection driven by athlete insights, so they can feel and perform their best in Paris,” said Lululemon CEO Calvin McDonald in a release.
Lululemon said that during the design process, it held product testing and feedback sessions with 19 athletes from 14 different sports. That experience helped the clothing manufacturers understand the unique needs of the athletes.
Team Canada Wheelchair Rugby Player, Zak Madell said in a release the pieces were “accessible and adaptable.”
“It’s not only about looking good, but also about feeling good – and I can’t imagine a better way to show up for Canada,” Mr. Madell said.
- Thermal comfort - keeping athletes comfortable in changing temperature conditions, such as convertible pants and jackets and sweat-wicking fabric for breathability and ventilation.
- Adaptability - features like magnetic-close zippers, pull-on loops, and sensory touch guides make the clothing easy to use for different bodies and abilities.
- Fit and function - items with four-way stretch fabrics, customizable drawcords, and newly engineered pocket shapes and placement for ease of use.
- National Pride - Fabrics like Jacquard and prints meant to reflect the beauty of Canada provide a sense of style and patriotism for athletes at the games.
Canadian consumers can buy select items online and in stores around the country.
