2 Detox Juice Recipes for Weight Loss (Recipes + Video)

Juicing is an effective and easy way to meet your daily quota for essential vitamins and minerals, as well as promote weight loss. These two detox juice recipes are perfect for the holiday season or anytime you feel like you’ve overdone it on delicious food and drink!

The cucumber pineapple juice is excellent for quenching your thirst in a healthier way. It promotes hydration, supports weight loss, aids digestion, and helps improve your immune system and skin appearance.

Grapefruit can be part of a healthy weight loss diet because it’s nutritious with high levels of vitamins, minerals, and nutrients. One study found that the simple act of adding grapefruit and grapefruit juice to one’s diet can result in weight loss. After 12 weeks, those participants who ate grapefruit with each meal lost on average 3.6 pounds. Many of the grapefruit eaters lost more than 10 pounds!
Make sure to get organic fruit and vegetables when making juice cleanse recipes. You don’t want to add extra pesticides to your body.

Recipe

Servings: 2 Prep time: 10 minutes Cook time: 5 minutes Total time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

Cucumber-Pineapple Juice: 1 Large Cucumber, sliced 1 ounce Ginger, sliced 2 large Lemons, juiced 1 large Fresh whole pineapple skin 10 ounces Fresh pineapple, diced 4 cups Water
Apple-Citrus Juice: 2 large Apples, sliced 2 large Oranges, peeled 2 large Grapefruits, peeled 2 large Lemons, juiced 2 ounces Ginger, sliced 4 cups Water

Directions:

Cucumber-Pineapple Juice:
  1. Make sure all ingredients are washed and sanitized, especially the pineapple since we will be boiling its peel.
  2. Peel the pineapple and place the peels in a sauce pot with four cups of water, then place the pot on the stove and bring to a boil.
  3. While the pineapple peel is boiling, peel the ginger and rough cut into small pieces, then juice the two lemons, rough-cut the cucumbers, and cut the peeled pineapple.
  4. Turn off the pineapple peel water and wait for it to cool down for a few minutes before you strain the water into another container to avoid burns.
  5. Place all your ingredients into the blender and pour the pineapple water in it along with the lemon juice and blend until smooth.
Apple-Citrus Juice:
  1. Make sure all ingredients are washed and sanitized.
  2. Cut the apples vertically into four pieces and remove the seeds with a paring knife. Then, cut each piece in half and you will have eight perfectly cut and deseeded pieces of apple.
  3. Peel the oranges, grapefruits, and ginger and roughly cut them into small pieces. Lastly, juice your lemons.
  4. Place all your ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.
