This week, we'll look at an inspiring true story about a young golfer pursuing his dreams and a Japanese film delving into family challenges.

New Release

‘The Last Stop in Yuma County’

Jim Cummings stars as a traveling salesman who stops at an Arizona rest stop for gas. However, things take a dark turn when bank robbers Beau (Richard Brake) and Travis (Nicholas Logan) take over the diner, taking everyone hostage.

Although the film’s single location (probably for budgetary reasons) adds to the overall tension, there are some occasional pacing hiccups and shifts in focus. Despite that, it remains engaging and well-crafted, making for a compelling watch for fans of tightly woven narratives with a retro vibe.

An impressive sports film with outstanding visuals and compelling storytelling. Shia LaBeouf shines in his role alongside a supporting cast that likewise delivers solid performances. Overall, an inspiring must-watch—even for those who aren’t into golf.

In London, Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey Jr.) and Dr. John Watson (Jude Law), confront the evil Lord Henry Blackwood (Mark Strong), who is suspected of committing some murders. As Blackwood seemingly returns from the dead, Holmes and Watson must navigate a world of dark arts and ancient secrets.

Despite diverging from the traditional portrayal of Sherlock Holmes, this film surprises with stunning visuals, humor, and great casting. While entertaining, it may mislead fans who expect a faithful adaptation.
