Fans of “Wheel of Fortune” were angered after a contestant bought a vowel when she didn’t need it.
The contestant, named Lisa, had “Pepper_ni Pineapple Pi__a” on the board. She then bought the vowel, “O, to the chagrin of many.
“Lisa buys a vowel when the answer is painfully obvious. Pepperoni Pineapple Pizza. #WheelOfFortune #Dumb,” wrote one person on Twitter.
“The word was pepperoni and you had every letter but the O and you BOUGHT the vowel ... get out of here #WheelOfFortune give me that 1/2 of car,” wrote another person on Twitter.
Then after spending the $250 to buy a vowel, she solved the puzzle with ease.
It happened on Wednesday night’s show, Dec. 27.
