ATLANTA—Viewers at Atlanta’s first Diving Performing Arts show at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre on Dec. 19 spoke of a spiritual feeling. One audience member hopes that Americans can learn something from the show.

Ms. Bryan, a marketing director, said, “The whole message about quality of life and the spiritually, and right now we have lost a lot of that. It’s just about—just basics and doing good for the world and having a good spirit. I wish American people could feel more like this,” Ms. Bryan added.

Ms. Bryan said she would definitely recommend the show to her friends. “More people need to know about this,” she said.

Mr. Smith, a lawyer, had seen cultural productions before, “but not this good,” he said. “The dancers are very, very good. The backdrops are very good too, and all the choreography is wonderful.”

Mr. Smith said, “Our society is on a fast pace. We’re always trying to climb up to different levels, and very, very materialistic.”

A retired teacher and her daughter shared similar opinions. “When he went to heaven [‘Persecuted on a Sacred Path’], that was fantastic,” said Mrs. Burford. “It’s fantastic. … The beauty, the color, the costumes, the precision—just unbelievable. I loved it.”

Mrs. Burford’s daughter, a student, said; “If I could do half the things they do. It takes a lot of skill to be able to do everything that they do.” Leaning back, with her hands like a dancer, she smiled and said; “I can’t lean back that far. So it takes flexibility, precision, everything. It’s great.”

Mother and daughter agreed that they were moved by the show.
