This 2-year-old golden retriever pup was on the brink of death after spending one terrible month trapped in a dark drain. She had been eating plastic wrappers and stones to survive. The video highlights her incredible recovery.
An animal lover overheard that a starving dog had been dumped into a sewer drain in Bali, Indonesia, reported the Story Trender. He took his relative, who’s a vet, and went on to rescue the dog. Later on, she was put under intensive care.
The severely undernourished and emaciated pup weighed 19 pounds (approx. 9 kg) at the time of the rescue. The poor canine was later named Goldie.
Bali Dog Adoption and Rehabilitation Centre (BARC) treated Goldie, and miraculously, she started recovering. Then, a lady named Sandy Button took Goldie under her wing.
Sandy said: “She had fluid on her lungs and there were a lot of ‘foreign objects’ inside her digestive tract, she had been surviving by eating whatever she could find. There was allot [sic] of plastic, stones, and other things blocking her digestive tract, she had to have an operation, before any food was going to make it through.”
“The difference in Goldie between her rescue and now is nothing short of miraculous… When I look back over her photos and our journey I honestly don’t know how she survived it all, she truly has such a strong will to live,” she said.
All the love and affection made her transformation simply astounding. Watch the playful Goldie running around in the video.
