A tractor was brought in to ram a lorry that had skidded off an icy rural road in a DIY rescue effort in the north of England.

The footage was captured on Feb. 28 near Oldham in Greater Manchester during heavy snowfall caused by the so-called “Beast from the East.”

Later reports indicate that the tractor was successful in finally getting the lorry back on the road.

The video shows the tractor’s wheels spinning in its effort to shift the much larger vehicle, as a line of cars form behind.

Oldham Weather shared the footage on Twitter, warning its 8,000-plus followers about the accident and the “horrendous, gale-force gusts and blowing snow”. It also tweeted: “Blowing #snow reducing visibility to next to nothing.”

Pictures of the lorry back on the road were shared from the same account with the words, “And he’s out!!!! Albeit a bit bent.”
