These are the top 10 best cities to live in, according to new research published by consulting firm Mercer. While Europe is dominating the list, surprisingly no U.S. city made it into the top 10.
Mercer’s Quality of Living Survey is designed to help multinationals decide on fair compensation when placing employees on international assignments.
Mercer looks at living conditions in over 440 cities, based on 39 factors, grouped in 10 categories:

- Economic environment
- Socio-cultural environment
- Medical and health considerations
- Schools and education
- Public services and transportation
- Recreation
- Consumer goods
- Housing
- Natural environment
