Tesla Reportedly Shutting Down 14 Solar Installation Facilities
Tesla will be closing up to 14 solar installation facilities. Affected states include California, New York, Texas, Maryland, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Arizona, and Delaware, according to a report by Reuters.
Approximately 60 facilities will remain open.
According to Business Insider, Tesla reps claim that cuts to the company’s energy division are consistent with its overall rate of 9 percent.
Last week Tesla CEO Elon Musk reportedly said that in an effort to cut costs and eliminate redundancies, Tesla laid off about 9 percent of its employees.
