After initially suspecting a Phoenix man of killing his mother and stepfather, police now say the man is a serial killer who killed nine others as well.
Police received a shots-fired call on Dec. 17 and rushed to the house, finding two bodies and arrested Cleophus Cooksey Jr., 35.
One month later, they have connected Cooksey to seven other homicides, including killings at Glendale apartment complexes.
All nine killering happened in 2017—between Nov. 27 and Dec. 17.
Officers believe Cooksey may be responsible for even more murders and are still investigating that possibility.
Another potential killing of Cooksey’s was on Dec. 2, when Salim Richards was shot by an unknown assailant, reported Arizona Central.
