Some Schools Are Removing Analog Clocks Because Students Can’t Read Them
Some schools in the UK are removing non-digital clocks from test rooms because students are not able to read them.
Classic analog clocks are increasingly confusing for modern-day students, according to The Telegraph, as they’re used to seeing digital notations of time on cell phones and smart watches.
And since students can’t easily figure out what time it is on an analog clock, it causes excessive stress about time running out during tests.
“The current generation aren’t as good at reading the traditional clock face as older generations,” Malcolm Trobe, deputy general secretary of the UK’s Association of School and College Leaders, told The Telegraph.
