Simple Changes to Your Diet Can Help You Get Through Allergy Season
More than 50 million Americans suffer from allergies each year and simple changes to what you eat and drink can help you get through it.
According to the Center for Disease Control, more than 16 million adults and 5.5 million children in the US have been diagnosed with hay fever in just the past 12 months.
“Allergies are worse in the spring,” says Dr. Machiael A. Tugetman, of American Family Care.
“You’re getting warming, then all of a sudden, you’ll be out one day with a light jacket, then the next day it’s snowing,” he says, adding that at this time of year he treats a greater number of patients with allergy-related symptoms.
