Snow has been piling up in Scotland since the arrival of the “Beast from the East” on Feb. 28, creating some deep snow drifts.

Just how deep can be seen from this tractor driver in the Scottish Borders, who decided to leave the comfort of his cabin and take the plunge.

Fluffy Moos farm shared the video with the caption, “Safe to say there are a few deep drifts about!”

The unseasonable cold snap put much of central Scotland on a ‘Red warning’ from the national weather service on Feb. 28, meaning a potential danger to life.

The weather system was dubbed the ‘Beast from the East’ because it brought cold winds and snow from frozen Siberia to parts of the United Kingdom.
