Police have released CCTV images of the suspected vehicles involved in a multiple-hit-and-run incident in which a woman was run over four times.

None of the four drivers stopped after hitting the 29-year-old woman in south London on Monday, Dec. 11. She was crossing the road in Tulse Hill while the lights were green for traffic.

Detectives have managed to track down two of the four drivers involved—but two further drivers are yet to come forward.

One of the motorists that police are searching for was driving a white heavy goods vehicle, thought to be a Mercedes. The other motorist, believed to be the third motorist to hit the woman, was driving a black car.

Emergency services rushed to the scene to try and save the 29-year-old on Monday, at 6:48 a.m.

Officers confirmed she was first struck by a heavy goods vehicle as she crossed the road. She was then hit by a second lorry, before being hit by two more cars. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, 7:21 a.m.

A post-mortem examination found that the victim died from multiple injuries.

The woman is thought to originally be from Poland and formal identification will take place on Friday.

The 49-year-old man who was driving the first lorry has been interviewed under caution. The second driver involved in the collision, a 52-year-old man, was arrested on Tuesday, Dec. 12, on suspicion of causing death by careless driving. He has been released and is still under investigation.

Acting Detective Sergeant Alastair Middleton is continuing to appeal to anyone who was passing at the time to come forward.

“We want to hear from anyone who travelled from the South Circular junctions of Norwood Road going towards the junction of Brixton Hill between the hours of 06:30hrs and 07:00hrs on the day of the collision. We are particularly interested in any dashcam footage that may have captured some of the incident before or after the collision,” he said.

He added, “Enquiries are continuing to trace the two outstanding vehicles involved. A number of actions, including the recovery of local CCTV footage are in hand.

“I would urge the two drivers we are yet to trace come forward and speak with my team,” he said.
