One of the original “Mouseketeer” members, Doreen Tracey, who later became a publicist for musician Frank Zappa, died at the age of 74.

Tracey appeared on the popular TV show “The Mickey Mouse Club” from 1955 to 1959.

According to Variety, she died of pneumonia in Thousand Oaks, California, on Jan. 10, amid a two-year-long cancer battle.
“Our Dodo, as we lovingly nicknamed her, always had a smile on her face,” fellow Mouseketeer Tommy Cole told ABC News. “She never failed to make us all feel good and we will miss her.”

The report says she remained close to the other Mouseketeers, co-starring with them in several “Mickey Mouse Club” reunion shows at Disneyland and at Disney conventions. In 2015, she celebrated the 60th anniversary of the show.

She also appeared in several TV shows and toured U.S. military bases in South Vietnam and Thailand with an act.

Later, she became a publicist for the likes of Zappa and also worked as an administrator for Warner Bros.

She’s survived by her son, Bradley, and her two grandchildren.
