Update as of 6:30 p.m. ET -- The crew was able to fix the mistake. Kickoff has started.

Just hours before the Super Bowl kickoff, the groundskeeping crew in Minneapolis had to fix a major problem.

A field crew forgot to paint the hashmarks over the Super Bowl LII on the 25-yard lines.

They had to fix the issue just hours before kickoff.

According to MMQB reporter Albert Breer, “Looks like they forgot to paint the hashmarks over the Super Bowl logo. Two hours and change til kickoff.”

Another reporter, Jeff Howe, said that the mistake was made on every logo on the field.

Providence Journal reporter Mark Daniels added, “They forgot hashmarks in the logos - in the Super Bowl - so guys are painting them in with paintbrushes.”

The Super Bowl is slated to kick off at 6:30 p.m. ET, featuring to the Philadelphia Eagles against the New England Patriots.
