Matt Drudge of Drudge Report wondered about the recent Ukraine crisis that has pitted U.S. President Barack Obama against his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
“Putin vs Obama. Who will win?” Drudge asked his approximately 255,000 followers on Twitter.
Drudge Report is a popular aggregation website that leans conservative. Matt Drudge is personally even more conservative, frequently airing his views on Twitter.
Russia recently invaded the Crimean peninsula, sparking international condemnation, including from the United States and President Obama.
In another recent post on the social media website, Drudge addressed the controversy of the Olympics being held in Russia.
“So we all wave goodbye to Sochi games and the fantasy that we can all get along. Now back to regularly scheduled warfare...” he said.
He also tweeted on Sunday about the Oscars, musing that the awards ceremony was “really showing its age.”
“Time for a nap,” he said.
