If this is your first time ironing, you will need a decent iron. Make sure you won’t buy a cheap one, they aren’t going to do the job. 

Fill the iron with distilled water.

Check the label to see material of your shirt.

Pro Tip: Sort your clothes according to temperature from the coolest setting to the hottest- Spray your shirt to make it wet a little bit.

Start with the sleeve.

Press with the back of the iron, not the tip.

Now to the back of the iron: take collar and hang it over the small of ironing board.

When ironing placket, the strip of fabric that holds the buttons in the place, be really careful with them.

Pro Tip: Don’t iron over any lipstick stains that might get on your shirt. They'll might stay there forever.
