A luminous green Lamborghini was smashed when it crashed into a bus in Nottingham.
The driver was unscathed, but the £260,000 (US$363,000) supercar’s rear was left hanging off. The crash happened at about 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 25.
Images show the left side of the car badly damaged as it was wrapped around a lamppost with debris from the car, including a loose tyre, scattered across the road.
Officials said that no one was injured in the collision. British Transport Police, the fire service, and local police were all at the scene.
Nottingham City Transport said a vehicle had “driven into the side of one of our buses” and reported “severe delays” on its services on Sunday.
The Aventador Lamborghini costs up to £440,000 with added extras and can reach speeds of 220 mph.
A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman told Sky News: “We were called at around 9.30 p.m. on 25 February to a report of a collision between a car and a bus. Police closed Carrington Street whilst emergency services attended and the car was recovered. No-one sustained any injuries.”
The road has reopened and the disruption to buses is no longer in place.
Earlier this month, a separate green Lamborghini was involved in a crash, according to Fox News. The suspected drunk driver drove his supercar under a trailer in California, ripping off the entire roof, but the driver and passenger left without a scratch.
The local fire service reportedly spent 45 minutes cutting into the Gallardo Superleggera to rescue the passenger, but discovered it was empty, the Los Angeles Times reported. Police said the passenger was later found at home two hours later with minor injuries.
In October, Sky News reported that a blue Italian supercar worth £1.5 million (US$2.09 million) crashed into a barrier on the A27 at Tangmere, West Sussex. Police said the driver was not injured.
