Veteran actors Jet Li and Gong Li have joined the cast of Disney’s live-action “Mulan” movie.

Sources told Screen Rant that Jet Li will play the Chinese emperor in the movie, who was voiced by the late Pat Morita in the animated film.

Gong Li will play the film’s main villain, a powerful witch. The witch character marks a departure from the main villain of the animated film.

A third new casting was reported, with Xana Tang joining as Mulan’s sister, a new role created for the live-action remake.

Liu Yifei has already been cast to play Mulan.

The live-action “Mulan” is scheduled to debut in 2020.
