ISRAEL—Eleven Members of the Knesset, (Parliament) from all political spectrum have co-singed a letter by the chairman of the Knesset’s Constitution, Law and Justice Committee, MK Menahem Ben-Sason, to call for urgent parliamentary discussion before the Olympics, to denounce the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese communist regime.

“It would be appropriate that the Knesset of Israel… on the eve of the Olympic Games, hold a comprehensive discussion of the issue in order to denounce the inhumane persecution against Falun Gong practitioners and to call for the communist regime in China to immediately end it”, the letter reads.

Ben-Sason says Israel must “join the leading parliaments of the world” in passing resolutions denouncing the persecution against Falun Gong in China, such as the European Parliament, the German Parliament, the Australian Congress, and the U.S Congress. The letter will be handed to the Chairwoman of the Knesset, MK Dalia Itzik.

The letter also mentions the Kilgour and Matas report which includes evidence that organs of Falun Gong practitioners are being systematically harvested for transplant operations.

Recent evidence from China shows that the Chinese regime is escalating the persecution against Falun Gong practitioners and other groups, prior to the Olympic Games, and that the number of deaths is increasing.
