An Indian town has renamed itself “Trump Village” in a warm gesture to the American president ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s trip to Washington.

Sulabh International, an aid group which focuses on providing sanitation in India, has installed billboards and signs bearing President Donald Trump’s image throughout the small town of Marora in the northern state of Haryana, Reuters reported. A large billboard reads “Welcome to Trump Village.”

Sulabh International said it has installed over 1.5 million sanitation facilities throughout India. The move to rename the village, officially “Trump Sulabh Village,” was partially to raise awareness for the group’s work.

Sanitation remains a major issue in India, with some 130 million households lacking toilets, according to the Economist. India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi has vowed to tackle the problem and set a goal to end defecating in the open by 2019.

Although the villagers agreed to the name change, it is not official or approved by the government, according to Yahoo.

One of the villagers, Aziz Ahmed, believes the new name would stick even without official approval.

“They will only call it Trump Village. Everyone in the village is very happy about it,” he told AFP.
