NEW YORK— “Harvest in the Square” returns to Union Square Park on Tuesday, Sept. 17.

More than 50 area restaurants and 20 wineries in the Union Square community will participate.

“Harvest in the Square” is presented by the Union Square Partnership, a non-profit organization that will use the proceeds of the event to fund the beautification and maintenance of the Union Square Park.

For the past 17 years, the annual Harvest in the Square has raised nearly $2.5 million. The money was re-invested into park initiatives such as employing a seasonal gardener, a district-wide cleaning team, and planting dozens of trees and thousands of shrubs and flowers over the years.

This year’s participants include: 15 East, 5 Napkin Burger, Aleo, Alison Eighteen, Almond, Bedford Cheese, Big Daddy’s, BLT Fish, BLT Prime, Blue Smoke, and Blue Water Grill. The full list of restaurants and wines is on the “Harvest in the Square” website.
