LONDON—World Falun Dafa Day was celebrated in London’s famous Trafalgar Square on Saturday, May 10.

Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) practitioners unfurled a huge banner and inflated helium balloons to stand as a background for the many cultural and informative activities related to the meditation practice. Falun Dafa is practiced in over 110 countries around the world.

Throughout the day they handed out flyers about the practice, its history, and persecution in China. They also collected signatures for petitions demanding the stopping of live organ harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners in China.

Crowds gathered to watch them perform the gentle Falun Gong Exercises as well as getting involved in the demonstrations of Chinese calligraphy and the making of paper lotus flowers, which were given away as gifts.
