JACKSONVILLE, Florida-The Divine Performing Arts show at the Times-Union Center for Performing Arts, enchanted and educated the audience with true Chinese culture, Dec. 26, 2008.

Reverend Worley, Minister of the Baptist Church, and his wife, attended the show and like many others before them, were deeply touched.

Mrs. Worley, a retired teacher, particularly enjoyed The Monkey King Triumphs.

“I love the history of the Monkey King, that was very interesting. I loved the culture from the beginning until the end, how different it was, how it has changed. I just thought it was wonderful. They did a very good job with what we were going to see (computer backdrop), the falling mountain and all of the backdrop art.”

Reverend Worley chimed in: “... as she said, also, good to see as the history progressed. To see it and understand that people believe there is hope (today)—from that (ancient) culture.”

“Very educational, very...just wonderful. The talent is just awesome ... and the colors, the performance, everything about it was wonderful,” Mrs. Worley said.

Mr. Worley added; “as she said ... educational, always good to see other cultures. And, I loved the colors.”

As for the Pastor of St Mary’s Church in MacClenny, Florida, he traveled 30 miles to attend tonight’s show in Jacksonville. Pastor Maniyangat, enjoys the arts, music and dance.

Originally from India, the Pastor said that the scenery and performances whet his interest, but the Chinese art and music, impressed him most.
