PHILADELPHIA—Dr. Margoshes attended the final performance of Divine Performing Arts in Philadelphia on Saturday Dec. 20, and said “It was fantastic, I didn’t know what to expect, and I was just fully pleased, it was exciting and beautiful.”

When asked what she thought about the costumes, she started to speak, “Oh they were just…” and then simply let out a long sigh. She regained composure and said “I couldn’t believe it. They were amazing, the color, oh it was gorgeous!”

“It’s so graceful, and well we have a daughter from China, so I have a special attachment to the Chinese culture as well. I really loved the Mulan dance [Mulan Joins the Battle], because I love the story and the strong girl, and the respect she showed for her family, I thought it was wonderful,” she continued.

“That is a wonderful spectacle, and the grace and the beauty of the dancers is amazing,” Dr. Margoshes added remarking on the abilities of the performers. “It’s not something where you just sit back and snore, I mean it was really exciting.”

Finally, Dr. Margoshes said: “I thought that the message was pretty universally applicable to everyone, about respect, and hope for the future, that people can be tolerant to each other, you know, and different ways of being, I thought it was a really great message.”
