A man and his wife were found dead inside their Texas home located in a gated community in northwest Harris County.

An unnamed source told ABC13 that the couple, Bao and Jenny Lam, were executed.

Officers were called to the home at Glorietta Turn on Saturday, Jan. 13, after the couple’s son called the police for a welfare check.

According to the Daily Mail the son, Richard Lam, had not heard from his parents in two days.

“Everything was disturbed,” Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez told the network. “Furniture was overturned, drawers were opened. It will take some time to process the scene.”

When officers entered the home they found the bodies on the first floor of their two-storied home. Investigators said that their home had been ransacked.

The couple, both in their early 60s was found bound and shot, the Daily Mail reported.

Gonzalez told ABC13 that the couple could have been killed up to three days earlier.

An unnamed source told the network that the crime appeared to be targeted and not a random incident.

On Sunday Richard updated his Facebook cover photo as a tribute to his parents. Comments of prayers and condolences soon came flooding in.

“It’s very scary. That’s why I am worried right now,” a neighbor of the couple told ABC13. “You don’t know what is going on next door.”

Police have yet to find the culprit but said they are hopeful that surveillance cameras in the neighborhood will help them find the murderer.
