‘Battlestar Galactica’ Actor Donnelly Rhodes Dies at 80: Reports

Donnelly Rhodes, a Canadian actor who is best known for roles in “Battlestar Galactica” and “The Flash,” died at the age of 80, according to reports.

Talent agency Northern Exposure said Rhodes died of cancer at Baillie House Hospice in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Deadline Hollywood reported.

Rhodes, who was born in Winnipeg, appeared in more than 160 TV and film roles over the past 60 years. He became an actor after he trained to be a warden in the National Park Service and then joined the Royal Canadian Air Force as a mechanic, Deadline reported.
In his life, he received numerous accolades, including a Gemini award for his role in the drama “Da Vinci’s Inquest” in 2002 as well as a Gemini Earle Grey Award for Lifetime Achievement in 2006, the Canadian Press reported.

Rhodes is survived by wife Sarah, his daughter, and his son.
