Unlimited bacon and craft beer await attendees of the fifth annual Bacon and Beer Classic in New York City. The nationally-touring festival, hosted by New York City-based Cannonball Productions, is returning to the Big Apple to take over the USTA National Tennis Center in Queens on Saturday, Sept. 29.
This year’s event will be the biggest one yet. Over 50 local restaurants, including BarBacon, Queens Bully, and Sweet Chili, will be serving up original bacon-infused dishes, while over 50 local and regional breweries, such as Wartega, Avery, and Port Jeff, will be pouring sudsy accompaniments. Ticket holders get access to unlimited samples during a three- or four-hour session, depending on ticket level.
Live music and a variety of games and activities, from giant Jenga to bacon bobbing, will provide entertainment. A homebrewing demo will teach enthusiasts to make their own beer at home, and a bacon-eating contest promises the winner a year of free Black Label bacon.
Tickets from $65 to $135, on sale at BaconAndBeerClassic.com.
