New head: ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Becomes Fastest Movie Ever to Make $1 Billion
Avengers: Infinity War has become the fastest movie ever to gross $1 billion worldwide.
It has now made $450 billion in the U.S. and Canada alone, taking $250 million in its first weekend and $112 million in its second weekend, according to reports.
It continues to set records wherever it plays. In Russia it had the biggest opening day ever, and it is expected to pull a mammoth crowd when it opens in China on May 11.
The Disney/Marvel film has overtaken the previous record-holder, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and it did it in just 11 days.
It means that Disney has now crossed $3 billion in box office revenue for 2018.
