Artist Taken Away by Shen Yun’s Colors and Flowing Costumes
Visual artist Deborah Jolly enjoyed the Shen Yun performance at the Living Arts Centre in Mississauga, Canada, on Jan. 23, 2018. “If you haven’t been, you have to come. And if you’ve already been, you should come back!” said Ms. Jolly. (Allen Zhou/The Epoch Times)

“There’s a lot of structure around it. I love it. It’s fabulous. It’s flowy. I’ve wanted to come for three years, and I’m finally here, so I’m enjoying it.”

“[The use of colors and different color combinations] is amazing. ... I like all of them.”

“I’ve learned a lot today. There are a lot of things that I thought came from ballet or from different forms of art [such as acrobatics and gymnastics] that I see now have come from [classical Chinese dance]. So it’s neat to see them play off each one.”

“I’m going to have some more lighter, fluid things in [my art, inspired by the performance]. Lots of color. I use a lot of color now, so I’ll use more.”

“[The costumes are] one-of-a-kind. You’re not going to see that anywhere else. ... I’m just taken away with the dresses, with the performers, with the guys’ outfits. That does it for me.”

“[I would recommend the show,] 10 out of 10. If you haven’t been, you have to come. And if you’ve already been, you should come back!”
