A gang of armed robbers broke into a family home and took an 11-year-old boy hostage, demanding jewelry.

They also sprayed an 81-year-old grandad with what looked like acid and dragged a 17-year-old up the stairs.

The four men raided the house in Chislehurst, south London, on Monday, March 5.

Two of the men first rang the doorbell, while two others walked behind a neighboring set of bushes.

When no one answered the door, all four men went to the back of the house, with one of them smashing the patio door with a crowbar. It was captured on CCTV footage, which can be seen above.

Once inside, one of the suspects grabbed an 11-year-old boy and dragged him through to where the rest of the family were sitting.

One of the men squirted what was thought to be acid into the face of an 81-year-old, and the family was threatened with violence, with the gang waving hammers and a crowbar.

It was later discovered that the substance wasn’t acid, and the elderly man wasn’t hurt, according to The Sun.

A 17-year-old girl was dragged upstairs, with the gang demanding to know where jewelry and money were.

However, another victim was able to call a family member who then alerted police.

Once the gang knew police were on their way, they filled the girl’s school bag with jewelry and ran off, speeding away in a silver Mercedes.

The suspects are described as four stocky white men, with Irish accents, aged in their mid-20s. They all wore matching Converse All Star style trainers, baseball caps, and puffa-style jackets.

The Metropolitan Police are calling for help to find the suspects.

Detective Constable Ben Briselden said, “This was a terrifying burglary where a family were at home enjoying their evening and were threatened and attacked by four men who then stole their most valued possessions, which were of great sentimental value. We would urge anyone with information about this burglary to get in touch as soon as possible.”
