American satisfaction with the way things are currently going in the United States has reached the highest level since September 2005.

According to a June 18 Gallup poll, 38 percent of Americans are satisfied, marking a 12-year high. It’s also the second month in a row where the satisfaction rate has been above 35 percent.

The rate rise in the past few months comes after President Donald Trump’s policies helped to spur on the economy amid a whirlwind of other positive economic news, such as record unemployment levels not seen since 2000 and the economic expansion that is is now the second longest on record.
