A 4-year-old boy died after getting into a swimming pool at his babysitter’s house, in Peoria, Illinois.
He died after he was found unresponsive in the pool and taken to the hospital in critical condition, according to Fox 10. Authorities received the emergency call at around 8 a.m.
Authorities do not know how the boy got into the pool, as it had a fence around it, AZ Family reported.
There has been over a dozen near-drowning or drowning incidents in the area this year, ABC 15 reported.
