More dog food was recalled this week after Carnivore Meat Company announced a recall of its Vital Essentials Freeze-Dried Beef Nibblets Entrée for Dogs on Monday after salmonella was found in one batch.
The latest salmonella recall involves 73 cases of Vital Essentials in one-pound bags from lot No. 13753. They were sold throughout the United States in the lower 48 states. They were sold at independent stores and via Chewy.com and Amazon.com.
“Carnivore has relationships with a number of private label customers. Per non-disclosure agreements, the services they provide to the customers is confidential,” a spokesperson for the Carnivore Meat Company told the Herald.
And TruPet Treat Me Crunchy’s Beef Delight’s 2.5-ounce pet treats were recalled over a possible salmonella contamination. It was sold at Chewy.com and TruDog.com. They have the lot No. 20190514 1375.
